In the absence of the constant dedication to the formation of new generations and to the learning and internalization of what is transmitted, all the products that every day are expertly made in our companies, will probably become unavailable in the future.

The metaphor of Saint Augustine is the right representation of things and people when they are stimulated by extraordinary conditions, such as in times of pandemic. People, organizations, anxious and fearful activities display their true nature. The subterfuge and the hidden truth “exhales stench” while honesty, frankness and kindness “expand fragrance”.
This also happens in the field of training.
Organizations spend billions globally, but how much of this energy has generated security, awareness and stability of their resources?
Learning is not filling containers with sterile and perfect information, it is above all giving tools to be able to build the own critical ability.
Too often companies aim, in a mechanistic way, to fill their employees with information without helping them in everyday practice. Applying what has been learned to real-world situations, especially in new and extreme conditions such as those we are experiencing today, reinforces the attention and determination to learn.
The learning methods and times dedicated to practical exercise have a lasting effect on the memory and construction of critical thinking.
If contributors learn topics that have little immediate relevance to their activities, learning is not effective.

If employees learn topics that have a little immediate relevance to their activities, learning is not effective. We can blame our innate and evolutionary desire for survival for which humans quickly forget what they learn.
Conserving energy has been essential to the survival of human beings, as it has allowed us to be more efficient in the search for food and shelter, compete for sexual partners and avoid predators.
As a result, our brain quickly forgets what we don’t use.
Incorporating new knowledge into the work is a way to preserve knowledge to evolve in critical situations.
When you take into account that humans tend to learn while they teach, peer learning offers a way to support fast and just-in-time learning. Encouraging peer learning by incorporating it into company training programmes, can be a strong incentive to invest your time in the training proposal.
The only way to win is to learn faster than anyone else
This has never been truer than it is today.
