EMAS CERTIFICATION – IMPLEMENTING THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE EMAS REGULATION

Since 2024, Fietta Arredamenti has implemented its focus on environmental sustainability by also certifying under EMAS.
EMAS is primarily intended to improve the environment and provide organizations, control authorities, and the public with a tool through which they can access information on the environmental performance of organizations.
The Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) is a system that businesses and organizations, both public and private, located within the European Community or outside of it, can voluntarily join if they wish to evaluate and improve their environmental efficiency.
The EMAS Regulation fully recognizes ISO 14001 as the reference standard for constructing the environmental management system but establishes some additional requirements, such as greater participation and awareness among employees and the creation of a document that informs the public about the environmental impacts of the organization and its activities for environmental improvement: the Environmental Statement.
